Amie Schaeffer graduated from Salt Lake Community College with a degree in journalism and digital media. Through Amplify Utah, she has had multiple stories published in The Salt Lake Tribune. Her article, “Ex-UVU student tells of surviving, and having a baby, in Ukraine war zone” earned an SPJ award. Amie currently works for KSL NewsRadio as a digital content producer and does freelance social media work for the Great Salt Lake Collaborative and Amplify Utah. Occasionally, Amie pretends to be a poet.
