In Their Words is a community-driven storytelling initiative that focuses on amplifying voices of Utahns facing housing insecurity and unveiling the often overlooked aspects of the unsheltered community. Guided by an ethical storytelling framework, individuals shared their experiences in their own words, shaping both their narratives and portraits. This project seeks to share, destigmatize, and humanize, offering a deeper understanding and connection.

Amplify Utah presents "In Their Words," an exhibit at the downtown Salt Lake City Public Library. Featuring stories, photographs, and voices of 17 neighbors experiencing homelessness, the project highlights real connections and shared humanity.
