Chelsea (she/they) is the Digital Content Manager for America Amplified, a public media initiative from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and WFYI in Indianapolis that launched in 2019. She and her team work with 20 small and medium-sized public media stations across the country to expand the use of journalism practices that meaningfully address local information needs through active listening and engagement. Before America Amplified, Chelsea was the digital content manager for Salt Lake City’s NPR member station KUER. She studied journalism and public health at Miami University in Ohio. Chelsea is a believer in the power of the sticky-note brainstorming session. The avid skier, rock climber and whitewater rafter can also be found painting the landscapes she sees on her adventures during her downtime.
