Stories from the Other Side

The Stories From the Other Side podcast brought together University of Utah journalism students with graduates of The Other Side Academy for a collaborative storytelling project with Amplify Utah and KRCL's RadioACTive. During the spring of 2024, this partnership explored the experiences of individuals rebuilding their lives after overcoming addiction, homelessness, and jail time. Through five episodes, student journalists worked alongside academy graduates to share personal narratives of transformation and community reconnection, creating authentic audio stories highlighting resilience and second chances in Salt Lake City.
