Voices Amplified

A KRCL RadioACTive Takeover

Voices Amplified launched in spring 2022, showcasing student journalists from Salt Lake Community College through a collaboration between Amplify Utah and KRCL's RadioACTive. Each week throughout the semester, SLCC journalism students and staff at The Globe take over the radio show, hosting, producing, writing and creating social media content while interviewing community members and amplifying diverse perspectives. The project moved to the University of Utah’s Department of Communication in the fall of 2025.

This partnership provides hands-on media experience for emerging journalists while strengthening connections between education, community radio and local storytelling.
