'Permission to Play'
“I’ve been living on the streets about four years. I got divorced, it put me into a tailspin. I was living up on Foothill, married to a nurse. I wouldn’t change anything, though, because I really like who I am today. If I hadn’t been through all that I wouldn’t be who I am today. It’s tricky, the timing, trying to get into the shelters and still have a bed. I’m getting ready to get on the bus to get a ride downtown to go see my barber. Sometimes I can play in front of a grocery store, I’ll ask and get permission to play for 30 minutes or so, sometimes I can play for a while and make 25 or 30 bucks, it helps me with my expenses.”

Let it burn
Let it burn
Let it burn
Let it burn me to the ground
Matches falling down all around me
Let it burn
Let it burn me to the ground
Make me a better man somehow
Let it burn
Let me burn
Myself to the ground
Let me burn
Let me burn
Hold me fire let it burn
Let me burn
Lighting of the fire
Let it burn eternal fire
Let it burn sweet desire
Let it burn
Ohhhh, Ooooooh, Ohhhhh
Let it burn
Let it burn
