Jamie Faux is an English and finance major at the University of Utah. She developed a passion for reading at a young age and quickly recognized the power of storytelling in influencing people, whether it be just a few individuals or millions. Her love of reading developed into a desire to influence people with her own stories, and she began writing novels as a teenager. In her first semester at the U, Jamie sought a way to make a difference in the campus community and joined the school’s newspaper, The Daily Utah Chronicle. As a reporter, she is dedicated to finding impactful stories and conducting thorough research to present these stories honestly. In her time writing articles, Jamie has continued to recognize the need for truth in storytelling, even if it isn’t “exciting” or encouraging. When Jamie is not writing or reading, she is in the outdoors skiing, hiking or rock climbing.
