The Persistence of Art

This year’s Utah College Media Collaborative explores the persistence of art — how creativity survives, shapes culture, and anchors community even in difficult times. Inspired by the POV documentary “Porcelain War,” students from Southern Utah University, Utah State University, University of Utah and Utah Tech University show the role art plays on their campuses and in the wider world.

Through original journalism, photography, and multimedia storytelling, students highlight the people and practices that keep art alive through creation, support, and tradition.

Together, these stories will show that art doesn’t just exist but persists, revealing what matters, what lasts, and what’s worth protecting.
