After years of working as an accountant, Teresa wanted to try something different. She has always had a strong desire for justice and to call out injustices. She took a journalism class at Salt Lake Community College and enjoyed it. She likes talking to people to learn what their concerns are in their local community and at the state and federal levels. She has learned that being prepared and researching the topic is so important. Since fall 2022, Teresa has written articles for SLCC’s The Globe, where she is currently the assignment editor. When she is not working on a story, Teresa enjoys reading, hiking and snowshoeing. She’s happy to be part of the Utah College Media Collaborative and getting to know journalists from other schools.
